There is no doubt that energy efficiency is highly prioritized among today’s tissue

makers. During the conference, speakers from Metso and co-host Turbomach as well as other partners, offered a wide range of ideas of how tissue making can be more energy efficient.

With pomp and splendor Metso presented its’ new machine concept Advantage NTT, a concept for what is called ‘textured tissue’. The new tissue making concept offers high bulk and softness properties at the same time as it enables large energy savings compared to conventional structured tissue grades. The high bulk

sheet can also mean significant fiber savings

The visitors could see the new Advantage NTT concept producing the new textured paper in Metso’s Technology Center

Tissue makers could have paper sampler directly from the TM 1 pilot machine.

Friday’s program at Karlstad’s Technique School offered a wide range of workshops about Energy and Quality efficiency, performed by Metso Paper, Metso Automation, Turbomach and Energy Square. The guided tour to Tissue Technology Center to see the new Advantage NTT concept in production was much appreciated. In addition to the workshops, there was an exhibition going on where customers could meet and discuss with the exhibitors.
